6 Days Tour from Marrakech to Fes

Itinerary:

Day 1: Marrakech guided visit
Our 6 Days Desert trip Marrakech to Fes will start with a private Marrakech guided visit with our private local guide and driver. We will start at 8:00 AM with a visit to the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, and the vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. In the medina. We will discover hidden treasures such as old bakeries, exotic spice markets, and historic synagogues and churches. One can experience the rich Moroccan culture through the local crafts and arts in the souks (markets) of the city.

This guided visit to Marrakech brings together all the aspects of this beautiful city and allows you to interact with locals. Prepare to be mesmerized by colorful lights and smells, and taste exotic Moroccan cuisine served in traditional restaurants.

After the visit finished in the afternoon, your driver will drive you back to your accommodation to enjoy the rest of the day on your privacy.

 

Day 2: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Talouet Kasbah – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate [205 km].
Once you have breakfast, you will meet our private tour driver who will ensure everyone is ready for the 2nd day tour. Today will be a day tour from Marrakech towards the city of Ouarzazate where you will stop for the night.

During this journey, you will enjoy the views of the High Atlas mountains with an altitude of 2600 meters.

Afterward, you will stop at the Kasbah of Talouet for a short time or for a visit according to your choice. You then continue to the next Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou which is known as a UNESCO Heritage and a famous village where a few western movies were filmed.

At Ait Benhaddou, you will be going on a guided visit with your private tour driver or with a local guide to visit the Kasbah and enjoy the views of this interesting spot. After your visit to the Kasbah, you will have lunch in a local restaurant near the Kasbah before you continue your day tour.

Once everyone is ready, your private day tour will continue toward the city of Ouarzazate, which is also known as the Hollywood of Africa. Here, you will have the opportunity to visit one of the most famous Cinema studios in Africa. After a while, you will continue to the center of the city to visit Taourirt Kasbah and discover its beautiful architecture. After a while, you will be accompanied by your private trip driver to your accommodation in the heart of Ouarzazate for the overnight.

 

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert [407 km]
On the third day of your private tour, you will leave Ouarzazate and head towards the Desert of Merzouga. Day 4: Private Desert excursion on 4×4 ( Sunset Camel trekking and night in a luxury camp)
After breakfast, you will embark on a guided 4×4 desert excursion around Merzouga. This thrilling journey will take you through the stunning sand dunes, with stops at various breathtaking locations along the way. You will have the chance to visit a local nomadic family and learn about their culture and way of life.

Next, we will head to the charming village of Khamlia, located in southern Morocco. This beautiful place is filled with friendly locals and a rich culture, offering plenty to explore. In Khamlia, you will be immersed in traditional music, as the village is home to the Gnawa people, known for their unique music style that blends African, Berber, and Arabic influences.

To cap off the day, you will enjoy a serene camel trekking tour guided by our professional camel man. You’ll witness a stunning sunset atop the dunes. The journey will conclude with a night spent under the stars in a luxurious camp.

 

Day 5: Merzouga Desert – Erfoud – Valley of Ziz – Azrou Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes
The journey from the Merzouga Desert to Fes offers a unique experience, taking you through Morocco’s diverse landscapes. This approximately 470 km trip takes around 8 hours by road. The route features beautiful mountain ranges, ancient cities, and traditional villages.

The adventure begins by crossing the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes, followed by a stop at the Ziz Palm Grove. The Ziz Valley is a remarkable oasis spanning over 1,000 hectares in southeastern Morocco, home to more than 10,000 palm trees that have been integral to the region’s history and culture for centuries. This grove has provided food, shelter, and income for the local population.

The itinerary continues toward Midelt, known for its apple groves and Berber carpets. After that, you will cross the Middle Atlas Mountains via the breathtaking Tizi-n-Talghemt pass, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the valleys and surrounding peaks. A stop at the Cedar Forest of Azrou offers the chance to see Barbary apes. Finally, you will continue your day trip to Fes via Ifrane. Night in Fes.
