At 8:00 am, our professional and experienced driver will arrive promptly to greet us at our accommodation, marking the start of our exciting 5-day Fes to Marrakech desert adventure. We’ll begin our journey by driving towards the fabulous mountainous city of Ifrane, often referred to as the “Little Switzerland of Morocco” due to its European-inspired architecture and alpine-like climate.
Depending on our preferences, we may choose to make a stop in Ifrane city center to indulge in a refreshing cup of traditional Moroccan coffee while admiring the charming, chalet-style buildings that give the city a distinctly European flair. This will provide us with an opportunity to immerse ourselves in the unique blend of Moroccan and European influences that characterize Ifrane.
Continuing our drive, we’ll head towards the captivating Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to the iconic Barbary Macaque monkeys. Here, we’ll have the chance to observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat and even interact with them, as we’ll be able to feed the Barbary Apes and capture memorable photographs of these charismatic creatures.
After spending time in the Cedar Forest, we’ll depart for the city of Midelt, crossing the first chapter of the majestic Middle Atlas mountain range along the way. We’ll depart from our comfortable accommodation, taking the off-road route through the rugged desert landscape to reach the panoramic Yasmina Lake. As we depart the Todra Gorge, our journey will take us through the picturesque Dades Valley, where we’ll pass the Imider hills, a stunning landscape of undulating hills and rocky outcrops. Our final stop for the day will be at the “Monkey Toes” rock formation, a unique geological feature that has been sculpted by the elements over time. We were a small group of 6 people and our driver Youssef, who gave us a pick up Marrakech where we started our 5 days 4 nights adventure trip. Our itinerary included special sites such as Ait Benhaddou, Ouarzazate, Merzouga, Azrou Forest, Fes. The whole accommodation was included in the trip and all was amazing and clean. Our driver/guide Hassan was a gentle and attentive man. he ensures we are happy and have sufficient time to discover the places. He always ask us to put our favorite music on his car radio and feel free to do anything we like during the trip.
