We begin the second day of our desert itinerary with an early breakfast before heading to Tinghir, a charming town in southeastern Morocco.
Next, we arrive at Todgha Gorge, where towering canyon walls rise up to 400 meters. After a short walk, you’ll have time to admire this breathtaking natural wonder.
We then drive to Erfoud, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara Desert.” Famous for its fossils, date palms, and rich culture, Erfoud offers the chance to visit a fossil museum, depending on time availability.
From here, we head to the Merzouga Desert, home to the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes, reaching 150 meters high.
Upon arrival, we prepare for an unforgettable guided camel trek through the dunes, stopping to witness a panoramic desert sunset. We then continue to our luxury desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars, followed by a drumming session around the campfire.

After lunch, we travel through the Draa Valley, Morocco’s largest palm oasis, home to millions of date palms along the riverbanks. We continue through Ait Saoun, a peaceful Berber village surrounded by rocky hills. Our journey leads to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco,” home to the world’s largest film studio, where movies like Gladiator and The Mummy were filmed. We visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah Taourirt, a stunning display of Moroccan architecture.
Finally, we cross the High Atlas Mountains on our return to Marrakech, concluding our 3-day Sahara desert tour at the airport or your hotel.
